I think it's a special projection screen that's behind the camera
it's a certain kind of paper that reacts to a certain wavelength of light it's not really an xray the image is projected onto the body but the paper picks it up..kind of like a body heat thingy

that was so computer animated because his head was to the left and his skeleton was on the right.

Images can be layed on top of each other using a blue screen. This is how Superman flies on TV. These guys are using a blue paper that is "keyed" to let the other image of the skeleton appear wherever the blue paper is. The trick is to make the skeleton image and the guy the same size and in the same place in the frame. It's very clever of them especially because it's a very simple editing trick.
