The technology for colour filming was available in world war two. But not used often because it cost more. NOW YOU KNOW!:D
i bet that last footage was a japanese kamikaze pilot :D
two thumbs up to whoever sent that in
that's a pretty cool video
it is a good bet that was WW11. Colour was available and used but as posted earlier, not used a great deal because of costs. But, being age 64, I can say with some authority, those airplanes and carriers were definately WW11 vintage.
i liked all the palnes blowing up
that was a really nice video, but yeah, that was WWII. the airplanes shown was a "Hell cat". it was only used in WWII. and they did have color
no its WW2..they actually had a type of color film then..but it was expensive so they used mostly black@white
nice to see some aviation footage from another era!
yeah most of this footage was definitely from world war two ...at the end of the clip theres a suicide plane bomber also known as a kamikazee ....these were japanese suicidal pilots only sent out to blow up american ship during battles such as midway /gudal canal/ and i believe even pearl harbor possibly .
f**k those nazis!!!
Dude, WWII means World War 2!
why do i have an urge to join
This is WW2 footage, mostly the pacific theater, so if you weren't sure here is confrimation from an expert.
I can tell you for certain that this IS footage from WW2 as evidenced by the Essex class carriers seen in the footage along with the F4U Corsairs dropping napalm on one of the Pacific Island battlegrounds. Don't let the color footage throw you - believe it or not they did have color cameras back then.....
omg BigDazz are you lame??? they didnt have color cameras!!! its called COLORIZING!! they match up the shades of gray with certain colors and thats what gives it the odd color. but your right about it being really from WWII |
