yep.. he is a sad little man who does not have anyone.. the only happy life he has in daydreaming about stuff he sees in magazines.

i dont know if you notice, at the begining he's young and at the end he's old, so i guess the message is "dont waste your life dreaming of happiness, instead go out there find someone real that'll make u happy" or something like that
