sir_yoda : have you ever seen a flag with no air and no gravity ? You don't think that, maybe that made a thick flag on purpose so that it stants flat ? Why it waves then, is because of semething called inertia, have you ever heard about this word ? If you haven't, don't feel more intelligent than scientists of a country you don't know.

bs I agree with you. flags wave more when there is no air..because there's no resistance. it's so easy to criticize..the hard part is, at least for many americans, to understand that there are outher countries in the world..and they can do "cool" things to.

I do not see anything fake about the video. There is no refraction of light if there is air about them so at least it was filmed in a extremely large vacuum chamber. The flag moves and waves because they are moving it and flips (waves) as newtons first law( I think first law) describes it would. There does not appear to be any stress points on their suits which would indicate where lines were attached to given them mobility ala Russia's first supposedly space walk. The stars would not show because the camera could not pick them up and photograph the brighter astronauts who were nearer. Also the clouds above the earth were moving. The speed of the moving clouds has given me pause since I do not know dimensions to determine how to calculate their speed. They seem to be moving a bit fast. But the jet stream does move at a good clip. I am an American and I think the Chinese should be given the accolades that are due them and this is quite an accomplishment.
