The white strip is still on the plane, it's just not in the sunlight.. LOOK CLOSER!! geez people, give that pilot some credit, what an amazing landing and control of a doomed plane!!

Yeah, the thing about the white stripe is true. The angled flying I COULD believe, that's not 100% unrealistic, but the physics of the landing are TOTALLY off.

If you look closely you can see that the plane that looses a wing has a white stripe separating the orange part from the silvery. The plane that lands hasn't got this stripe.
