What kind of psychopaths in this thread defend the right of police to repeatedly strike someone who is held down and restrained? Are you blind or simply totalitarians? Many policemen do a great job, but in this case they were openly torturing a non-violent offender, they should have gone to jail for that. The mob beating may have been excessive but it wasn't like they did nothing to earn it.

You dont beat a crazed soccer fans ass at a soccer game period, unless you want the whole team he represents as well as the fans to murder you. These cops thought they were representing the peoples interest here, they found out quickly they were wrong.

This video was awesome. Those cops will think again before bulling an unnarmed and innocent human being. Sure he might have been a bit dumb.. But why beat him up like that? That was totally messed up. I feel no sympathy for those cops.. if anything the people were badass in this one.

The cop wasn't poking the guy that hard. If the guy hadn't acted wrongly he wouldn't have gotten hurt at all. Cops seem to take a beating all the time and want to protect themselves from harm. The old days are gone where the subject is conked in the head and he's out and resistance is gone and everyone's safe. I bet that most of the complainers would be using choke holds before the week was up if they were on patrol for one week.
