Deebo the difference in air friction is neglectable and weight really doesnt matter at all in a free fall. really.. google it or you can even youtube expiriments on discovery channel. And pbc I said they hit the ground at the same time in vacuum because there is no air friction there, otherwise ofcourse a feather falls slower but they will teach you that some day too.

sand scorpion, thers no vacuum in this case, if u drop him with an extra 50 lbs he will drop faster at first until he reaches terminal velocity, at that point a lighter skydiver would catch up

WOW, yeah so anything could happen. Those little tiny straps could break, or the clips could break. There is an actual weight rating on those clips so I'm sure they have the heavy duty ones, however.. that stuff can break. Specially with the force from them slowing down when that chute opens.

great stuff.it has been done before.remember,these are not idiots who have been skydiving for 2 weeks.yes it is dangerous,but this guy and his team are the best in the world.its all very carefully planned.

I just did that myself like an hour ago. Except I was in shackles and handcuffs from which I had to break free of before I could get the harpoon strapped to my back and spear the life sized dummy free-falling with me that had a parachute attacheted to him. All that ontop of me shooting up heroin 3 minutes before I jumped from the plane!

The guy standing at the bottom was MR. Knoxville, of MTV'S JACKASS FAME. And yes, he has a stupid haircut, but then again he always does. As for a feather dropping faster than a bowling ball, do you really believe that?

@ deebo, weight has nothing to do with the speed at wich something falls. Only resistance does. In a vacuum place, a feather and a bowling ball drop at the same speed.

This goes on my list of cool stuff that I won't ever try.
