This looks like excessive force to me. He could have easily pulled the woman out of the car. I thought that tazers were only used as a last resort for beligerent,aggressive subjects. She didn't look beligerent or aggressive. She wasn't striking at the officer or even talking to him. True, she should have followed his instructions but I think the officer enjoyed inflicting pain upon this woman. He was very intimidating and she was alone. Would he have tazed this woman if children had been present

that woman's pretty dumb. a police officer deserves respect, not more burden on their already tough job. he did what he had to do.

cash1- Yanking the woman out of the car would be excessive force. The last thing an officer can use is a gun. tazers are safe, and do not cause temporary injuries. It places before the club and mace when it comes to weapons an officer can use. If you watch at the beginins, he did try to grab the woman, but she probably pushed or slapped him away.

'the simple orders'? sure, trust them. it's only the police. it's amazing to me how accepting poeple are in our society of brutal, senseless violence. if they didn't have the tazer would they then shoot someone who doesn't get out of thier car after being pulled over? the fact that police resort to violence in this situation is how ridiculous it's getting. that's the best they could do? what a joke. make whatever excuse you want, this is wrong. they should only use it for self defense only.

As a cop, who had to get tazed in order to get issued one, they are no joke. After the 5 second ride, there (normally)isnt any further pain. It worked out better for her. In the old days we would have jerked her butt out of the car, which may cause bruising and contusions.
