we are doing this animation as a project at school, its for an essay. i just love the music!! its sad when the wife goes and the army mate is killed!! does anyone know where to get the music from and what is it called?

im learning this at school we rec'n that the kid wearing the old clothes is him when he was young and the other kid at the end is his grandson most of us in our class aswell think it waz cool but sad..but i lov it.

I think it is his grandson cause he has different clothes.

something that is really hard to beleive after watching this is that it is an animation and not real (..unless based on someone..)

That's one of the most beautiful things I've experienced in a long time. I cry EVERY time I watch this or show it to friends. One of the boys at the end is himself as a child, then it switches to a grandson or son. I'm sure everyone has their own interpretation of this clip. Each person has their own story of their life.. It's absolutely beautiful and touching.

the music comes from a french movie called "Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain" entitled "L'après-midi"..you guys should see that movie..it's amazing..and the soundtrack is beautiful too

That is so lovely! I love that song, and the person who made it made him play the piano the exact way the song is actually played! And mendo_65 - LsR already said who composed the song.. It's called "Comptine D'un Autre Ete: L'apres Midi" and it's by: yann tiersen. It's off "Amelie" the movie.
