Ok, while I understand that this type of response does not set a good example, I can understand the Mother's reaction. When I was younger, the mother of a friend slapped me in the face. When I got home and told my mom what happened, she went to the friend's house, asked the mother if she slapped me and when she admitted it, my mother slapped her so hard in the face, it broke her nose. I'll bet the friend's mother hasn't slapped anyone else's child since then!!
