i went deep sea fishing off the coast of north carolina. we went really far out. my friend and i jumped off the back of the boat and when we came back in, we looked down and there was a 12 foot mako shark swimming right where we were.

Haven't been deep sea fishing but some of my friends have. I'm pretty sure you can't just "let go". You're strapped to it.
