this is a toyota commercial not a ford and it wasn't a super bowl commercial either it came out a couple of months ago it's still pretty cool though it makes ya laugh

actually the dust,fire are ok but not the meteor and the explosion look extremely fake but i dont really think there would have been a huge hole i mean cmon the meteor isnt that big

i saw this on tv a couple of weeks ago on one of those "built ford tough" comercials

I forgot to mention the "huge crater" that people expected.. it woukd have measured around 9 feet in diamenter and less than 2 feet deep. The interval between Meteor impacts like this is less than one month. Common to the earth but very rare to be standing at ground zero with a camcorder. The video is more than likey a great work in FX, however if it were real it woukd pretty much look the way it was presented here.

In all of the replies, nobody has looked at this scientifically. Taking into consideration the size, composition, trajectory and speed of the object, it is indeed very possible to have an impact like this. I calculated the object size at a kittle under 8 inches, made of iron hitting at 40 degrees at 2km/sec. Very possible indeed.

It's a fake. When a meteor hits Earth, it's like a Mini-Nuclear Bombing. There should be a large hole in the desert. But nice edits though.

Well, it looks like something from a sci-fi movie!!, offcourse, it has to be fake, cause there would not be a living soul there..infact, the entire area would have sunk in the ground..leaving a good size round hole..so No!!, this is not a real true blue metor..

yeah, remember that one comercial where the pissed-off girlfriend videos her boyfriend's truck being pushed off a cliff, but the truck survives the crash? same guys made this footage.

Was it or wasn't it real, if it wasn't it was a great piece of special effects, if it was WOW can you imagine being in the right place at the right time.

The video isn't real! Just to fill you in if you pay attention to the truck when the video starts they have 2 atv in the back of the truck and when the meteor hits and the truck passes by there aren't atv's in the back anymore. Not only that but where it hit would have at least blown out the glass out of the truck!! cool video though. It's just a shame it really isn't real! Have a good one!

I liked it. All the way up until the motorcycles were dropping to the ground whyile the truck (in its total form) came out unscathed. Isnt this some kinda toyota or Ford truck commerical? (lauhing at the guys in the truck not coughing either) Peg

a) there was no crater left after the "blast" b) those guys would have been blown out of their shoes c) they would have been burned alive from the heat so damn fake but so damn good. i enjoyed it. would love to be able to catch something that awsome for real! then again maybe it was real and the "little green men" sent a message?? nah
