He's not using the dog as a scratching post- that's what cats do when they get nice n'comfy, it's a remainder of their babyhood, when they did that to get more milk out of mama..my cats always did that to hairy pillows and teddy bears!

Actually the cat is kneeding on the dog. Some cats don't sink their nails in too deep - or the dog has a thick coat of fur. Looks like they both content!

the cat is not actually using him as a cat post but more like trying to get him up or trying to get comfortable. I know because i have 2 cats and 1 kitten ROCK ON ELLIS
