Building Tetris Game - Cool Videos
If this video was not made using video editing tricks then it must have really taken a lot of people and time. They make the lights on a building look like a game of Tetris.

lold its tetris 2.0!
way too much time on their hands!
No, it would only take two pictures of the building. one with the lights on and one with the lights off and you can turn it into what you see there
The lights where the 'blocks' are look a little too bright for normal lights - you can see in windows where they are already on. A car goes past, but a bit jerky. I would have said it was a little too perfect to have been done by hand, switching lights on/off. Wouldn't be too surprised though if it was some Japanese game manufacturer, having rigged up a bit of playful marketing?!? Easier to do it on the computer afterwards though...
I wonder who was playing it?
lol .. kinda cool .. but they suk at tetris .. only made like 8 lines
ish....
show me a building that can play gran turismo 4 and ill be pleased
how in the world
I'm with dehydrochloride
add some classical tetris music and this'll be great
that was kinda stupid,....they shoulda added sound effects.
Well im basically going to agree with "pender's" comment down below there. the windows were already a bit bright as they were.. you can see the lughts that were already on on some floors.. Why do i have to always post something negative about these videos. You can never trust if there real or fake anymore beucase of the technology. Peace.
If it was real by and chance they could've just gotten the people to turn the lights on and off at timed intervals.
It is not a fake movie!
I saw it in live.
The truth about building tetris:
The building is the Schonherz Student Hotel (http://www.sch.bme.hu/) at Budapest, Hungary.
The lamps were controlled via Ethernet LAN (and of course relay-s attached to computers, etc, etc)
So the tetris was one of the challenges on the "Shonherz Cup" contest.
The other 'trick' with the lamps was to create a 10x10 pixel animation...
jerry311 i think someone already said that before...but in a difrent way...geez
i can easily imagine that someone did it before the hungarian students did and they just copied another idea :) so maybe it is not the Schonherz hostel but i am sure it can be done and it was done :)
get me one that plays the sims 2 and then ill be interested
looks like this is:
