He could be protesting "mondays" or the old "week-end Hangover", but now that I have looked at it again, he looks like he may have been "tranqualized". usually done during breeding season, they do this so the bears can be "tagged". They keep track of the number of males and females, plus they can place tracking devices on them to see what territory they cover.
