Great moves.. for in a movie. In almost all those "gun" moves, the bad guy has well over a second to pull the trigger. More than enough time to put a hole in your body. There's only one reliable defense against firearms: don't stand in the direction it's pointing..

@krazyme: the tailrotor DOES hit the ground, take a look at 1:02-1:03. Also look at the tail rotor at 1:23-1:25, the main rotor is still spinning at normal speed but the tail rotor is almost stopped. And most convincingly, look at the highest tail rotor blade at the and of the clip. It's not supposed to have that shape! The tail rotor hit the deck and broke the drive shaft.

Did you see the bunker near the crash site? According to some stories that bunker houses nukes. Supposedly not even a BUFF slamming into them would set off a nuke, but why take the chance? That would have been a MUCH bigger fireball..

I've seen choppers make far more extreme moves than this. Take the Lynx for example, it can do loops, rolls and backflips without problem and on top of that it's the world speed record holder. And for greg k: fall out of the air? Yeah right.Go to the site flightlevel350, search for "cougar" and take a look at the third vid. And that's what an older helicopter can do..

I agree, getting upset about the bird seems a bit stupid. On the other hand, getting the bird sucked into an engine, damaging the turbine blades and sending your fighter plummeting to the ground at 600mph is probably worth getting upset..

Sorry guys but this pic is very real indeed! That's a Westland Lynx helicopter and it can loop and do barrel rolls without problem - as can many other choppers for that matter. Oh, and did I mention that the Lynx currently holds the world speed record for choppers? A very impressive machine indeed.
