Ship With A Lot Of Fire Power
I would not want to be on another ship that was fighting this thing! They have some serious fire power!

um Holy crap.. if you were sleeping on that boat when all the guns fired how much crap would be in your pants, eh?
To all you guys who think this is fake: go to youtube and search for "battleship broadside" or "uss missouri firing". Those are 16 inch guns, what you're seeing is the muzzle flash every pistol has - only a million times bigger.
The New Jersey class, New Jersey, Missouri, Iowa and Wisconson, all had nine 16-inch guns (LOL @ Capt Emerica's "I think those were 88's"). Full broadsides were sequenced, normally, a few seconds apart from number one turrent to number three, so as not to rock the whole ship. All nine fireing at once could be--and was--done but again, was fairly rare. The propellant used to send the 2400lb projectile from these Mark 7 16-inch/50-caliber guns produces smoke AND flame. Anyone that has fired a "real gun" knows that flames can and do come out of guns. Look at machine guns, rotary cannons, etc. Oh, and black powerder guns, since these are similar in principle to the Mark 7s mains on the NJ Class.
You can find pictures of "Mighty MO" (BB-63) on Wikipedia that show it firing at night it's Mark 7s and the flame is there, it's real and when it's real, you don't need Photoshop.
Some of you might want to think before you comment.
omega cool
iv seen better
BINGO-wuz on it got it right. I was on the New Jersey off Nam he is right when you shoot all guns at the same time the ship will move. But you sure as hell dont want to be outside when they go off.By the way fire control try very hard not to shoot all at once, for it will and does tear things up and we dont have time for repairs if we can prevent it.Enjoy the pic of the BB for there is none in sevice
Those of us who have been stationed to this ship know that full broadsides are real and AWESOME. As far as a modern ship.. it IS the most powerful modern ship in the Navy!! My pic of the ship doing the same thing looks very similar; before photoshop existed. 16 inch guns using 400 pounds of powder each makes for a huge kaboom when you shoot 9 of them at the same time!
mayne, dat shits fake
WrongO on the just smoke no fire dude!
FAKE!
no need for cannons when there are missiles
ZOMG!! ITS PHOTOSHOP LOSER -_-
yep, shooting makes smoke, but never fire.
preety cool
And the ship would tip over??
OK..that is a big-time photoshop. BUT, that is pretty much how it would have looked on the USS Missouri (which this ship IS). When they would do a full "Broadside-Blast", it would push the ship up to 30 feet sideways depending on the sea state at the time.
I believe those are 88's, but i could be wrong. It's been a while since i've been onboard it (it now sits in Pearl Harbor, open for tours).
It was beyond a doubt a force to be messed with. But it was primarily used for "Shore-Bombardment", as it could blast away a shoreline from many miles away (well out of site of the enemy).
they should've used that ship to go against jaws lol
you idiots that think this is a fake look up the stats on the uss wisconsin to the same pics
they finally made water that catches on fire. GENIOUS!
Agree w/ 'me2'..pretty cool though.
photoshop
That's a WWII battleship, "Big MO". Could not stand a chance against modern ship of war.
YES
