A single engine plane ran short of fuel nearly three miles from the nearest runway. The pilot attempted to glide to the runway only to get caught up in power lines. Both the pilot and passenger are amazingly alright, suffering only minor injuries. The power was shut off to the lines and a crane was used to remove the plane from its resting place. If it had not been for the power line wrapped around the planes tail they would have crashed into the ground in a residential neighborhood.

too heavy for what? My best friend's plane looks just like that and weights 1600 pounds. Power lines have crazy high tensile strength and a well suspended line could hold that no problem. Thing that sucks is with all those lines, a lotta people will lose power when that get taken down.
