Pepsi And Coke Logos

It looks like one of these companies got their logo right the first time and the other one has kept changing it through the years.

The coca cola (CC) logo in 1886 is totally different. In the 1900's there was quite a few different CC logos for labels, print ads and packaging. In the 1950-1960, CC went with the 'fishtail' logo. The "wave" was added in the 1960 for CC. Let's not forget the 1985 with the new COKE logo. 1990, 200 saw a few more changes..if you'd just open your eyes instead of being brainwashed by the above ad.

Coke is good, but so is Pepsi to those who like it. The evolution of a label has nothing to do with the quality of the product, so what is wrong with being a bit trendy if it works?

Birgir.. No, it's not due to the fact that Coke hasn't changed it's logo. Pepsi tries to seem "hip" and "cool" to market itself. Coca Cola would sell just as much if it were sold in paint cans. They are the worldwide leader in the beverage industry for a reason and they will continue to be. Pepsi will always try to play catch-up. Also, Coke Zero is not Coke. It's a different product.

Coke only needs to show up, sure. But is that really due to the fact that theire logo has remained unchanged? And what about the Coke logo that was tried in the seventies? Has everyone forgotten that? And what about the new Zero logo? Sure, it is more or less just an add on, but still it is a change. This form for selective comparison is useless! Question everything!

Why should Coke have to change it's logo? Don't fix what isn't broken. Coca Cola is one of the most iconic brands and logos on earth. Coke and Pepsi are like Ferrari and Lamborghini. No matter how crazy the Lambo looks, it will never be a Ferrari. Pepsi needs gimmicks, loud commercials and loud colors. Coke just needs to show up.

LOL you Yankees kill me. It clearly shows that Pepsi has been trying for over 100 years to catch Coke and nothing works. I am glad I am from the Coca-Cola capital. Pepsi sucks.
