Huge Wave Hits Lighthouse - Cool Pictures

If you look close you will see a man on the ledge of the lighthouse. If that guy is smart he will hurry back inside the lighthouse as quick as he can.

you can purchase the framed photo at Family Christian Bookstores. I bought one for my wife and it hangs in our living room with the bible verse "The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer, My God is my rock in whom I take refuge." Psalm 18:2. thnak so much for the info on where it is.

The photo was taken by a French photographer, Jean Guichard. The lighthouse is in Brittany off the north west coast of France. It was taken during a storm that hit the area in 1989. The lighthouse keeper was actually waiting to be rescued, and stepped outside the door thinking that the helicopter taking the photos was coming to rescue him. He got back inside in time and was eventually rescued later that day. The lighthouse is now automated.

Poor jooeell. Imagine being so bankrupt of moral integrity, human decency, common respect and basic manners. Either he doesn't have a mother to teach him the basics, or he's emotionally handicapped, remorseless and without conscience loser. While some people are made fun of in school, that ends. People like "jooeell" however are pitied or disliked for the rest of their lonely lives. BTW everyone, you can do anything with a photo, put it on a mug, a canvas, or just paint it by hand. Doesn't prove it wasn't a photo to begin with!

it is totally real, the guy was almost killed, there is also more than one photo of this, check out search "Ocean's Fury Unleashed" on youtube Just because somebody has it framed on a wall does not mean it is a painting!!

This is an actual picture, not a painting, and the lighthouse keeper got inside just in time. Check the story out at http://ww.alphapix.com/jument.shtml

When I was young I remember seeing this in Cornwall nr Land's End on the wall of some official building. The guy we were with knew some stuff about the photo and photographer. I don't remember much accept they were desperately trying to get the guy's attention in the photo, to warn him of the danger, and that he did lose his life. I've always thought of it and many years later have only just found it on here through google. Powerful stuff.

If this really is a painting, then someone took some time to paint this pic in a series.. follow this link: http://ww.allposters.com/-sp/Phares-dans-la-Tempete-Kereon-Posters_i350938_.htm. Actually Jean Guichard is a famous photographer who took this series of photographs of this lighthouse in France. Everyone has a print of it from Ikea or wherever else. IT is not an oil painting. A little resaerch would have helped guys

I wont speculate on this any more than to say, if this is an oil, and i have seen some awesome oils, that whomever painted this is a very talented artist indeed, for the detail is immaculate.
