Hippos usually eat plants but they do occasionally eat meat.

Hippos eat grass, but they are very ill tempered and if a man like this gatekeeper disturb them while eating they get pissed. BTW the gatekeeper was fast and lucky and got away safe.

No, they don't eat people but they do kill more people than any other animal in Africa. They're fast too, so if that guy isn't close to a car of some place safe,he's probably dead now.

I am sure all he will get is a few broken ribs instead of eaten.
