I could be wrong, but that looks like a training camp held in Kemano British Columbia, they burned down the whole community after the government closed it down. They brought in fire departments from all of North America and trained for EVERYTHING!!!

It's real, the house is most likely a practice house that they just let burn. They often do that to condemned houses.

This is picture is probably of a fire Academy. If you Look to the far left you see a man who would be an instructor. In Fire Academy you do live burns where instructors set fire to a house, each company goes in and puts it out, then you burn the house to the ground and observe it. When we do this in my class, we always take a class picture with the house burning in the background...Just like this one |
