Awesome Underwater Bridge - Bridge Between Sweden And Denmark
This bridge and tunnel goes under water to allow movement of ships. In order for ships to pass, this bridge is half under the water. You drive down in the water and then come out on the other side. Truly a marvelous piece of engineering! This bridge is between Sweden and Denmark. Picture taken from the side of Sweden.

thats awesome. Does anyone know how long it took them to build it?
thats cool i like that it kinda looks fake but i do know of a bridge like that so lol
thats cool, id love to see it for real
Yeah, but what about a tidal wave? or a rise in water......then they're gonna be screwed........the sides literally look like the waters at the top allready
Yeah, It's cool, but we have something in the U.S. even better. It's called the Chesapeake Bay Bridge/Tunnel, Virginia. It is 15 miles long and goes over and under water twice. I've been on it several times. If you download (it's free) Google Earth (satellite Imaging) you can see it. Although the image is not as good as this aerial photo.
check out this website to see more information about this Bridge. (where it really is, how long it took to build, etc...)

that would suck if a TITLEWAVE comes lol
That is pretty sweet, I wonder how long it took to build that?
that is awesome looking!!!
that is amazing.....there should be one from hawaii to the u.s.
nice first time i saw some thing like that
how did they make that
That would be so cool having to go underwater like that....id love it, especially the fish swimming by, (if there is any and if u can even see them for that matter)
that's awsome
awesome shot........don't know if I would want to actually use it...but it's fantastic!!!
tidal wave!!!!!!
there are two bridges/tunnels like this on the east coast going into Virginia also. The underwater section run about a half mile beneath the ocean
that would be so coool
that woul;d be mad sick if the underwATER PART WAS GLASS
Thank you to tjayshaw who posted below a link to the correct info on this pic. it is NOT between Sweden and Denmark. It is the Monitor-Merrimac Memorial Bridge-Tunnel across the James River in Virginia, USA. Webmaster should correct the wrong info in the intro to the pic.
wish i could be in there
I've been there!
I live in Copenhagen and I can tell u for sure that this is not copenhagen. Our bridge has railroad tracks and the tunnel is 9 km long.In this picture u can see a port with two large ships on the left side, but there is no such thing near the bridge in Copenhagen, If someone knows where this bridge/tunnel is, please write because I'M VERY CURIOUS..
On the right corner of the picture on this link , you can see the start of the tunnel between copenhagen and sweden.

that would scare the crap out of my wife!
It's just a f**kin' tunnel! We have those in the US. No big deal! Get a f**kin' life and stop watching soccer! Knowaimsayinyo?
thats pretty cool i want to go diving and see what its like from the outside down there
wow what a beautiful bridge
That looks fantastic but there is something which I'm wonder about:
What has happend to the plants being on the river bed? have they all been destroyed?
Hate to break it to you guys. This tunnel is not in Sweden or Denmark. It is the Monitor-Merrimac tunnel in Virginia bridging Suffolk and Hampton/Newport New. I know I lived there for 13 years and used to cross this tunnel every time I went to work.
Gurl...whooooo all up in dere??
awesomeEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE,but is it really in Denmark?
Take a look at google earth this is NOT the bridge between Denmark and Sweden
That tunnel has no ship docks at the end of the tunnel on the denmark side.
Here is the real location of this picture It is the Monitor-Merrimac Bridge-Tunnel in Virgina, USA
