Don't pay no never mind to me..What about Gibson? What about Grace? What about OZ? What about this 'scoop' of a man with a microscope that really could hold his breath and sculpture in the eye of a needle? Then we h

Understatement!! Funny how 'tiny things' have gotten the best of me..lol. Hope the man with the microscope is doing better than the ones reporting the news these days. I would rather believe in 'those behind the scenes.'

Charlie horse!! This man makes 'Whoa' way..more than his worth and so does his cutie pie..that dances through his hoops..called the ABC..sweetness, that she just now seems like she would like to put up her dukes against Palin. Would that not be a match..a cat fight? Which do you want to win?

I'd still venture to guess that 'the subject' here could be relied upon to 'show us' a 'flea circus.' At best..beyond that..I sure would hope that 'those' that invested in him..have more 'in store'..than some museum of 'tiny masterpieces.' Yet..the way I see things..seems more 'twitter' than 'herd.'

Freida obviously is named after Freida Kahlo and has a feminist chip on her shoulder about the superior male intellect and ability. Face it Freida mostly men drive civilisation forward as their abilities are more evenly distibuted across the spectrum and women's are more grouped around the middle, this leads to exponentially more male geniuses.

Also, cork-it..verbal relates more to spoken rather than written word. So really all I have is a case of 'the fingers.' Gosh, maybe I shouldn't have pluralized that. And all this relates to a man that we suppose has little education, yet uses, or probably (more than likely) has access to some very expensive 'tools.' And, you know it's not all academic..might just run in the family.

Do metals have Deoxyribonucleic acid? I don't think so, but John Trudell did, or does..like his music, though. So, what makes this man so great? Is it that he creates tiny, almost molecular reconstructions for recreation, or is because he got broadcast and he's getting exhibited by some 'creative marketeers?'

What an awsome accomplishment. I hope he has learned to read, or has an honest person helping him invest all that money. It would be a shame if he turns it over to someone like Bernie Madoff to manage! Who can one trust these days?

And what the heck does BRYMEL04 mean, really? It's not a real name obviously..so must be bunk. And a bunch of 'others' here, too and for. Cowards or kids? Anyone can make a comment including me..and my comments might even be better than yorn. This is really just beginning to be interesting, course no one has come up with 'the goods' on why this needle work is so really so great. An amazing artist is more than happy to excruciate his work..or at least try or end up starving like most that can't. So, here we are, where we can't even have a paragraph or post a link.

This is 'cute' compared to our government bailing out banks that make their living off loaning money for more than it's worth and jump through hoops so they never paid in a penny in taxes, in fact, bet they've been getting 'FED' for so long we don't want to know the truth of the matter. And this is a pretty, simple and petty explanation of why our government representatives live in mansions and fly first class, or rather own their own runways. And tell me who cares about some man that recreate the wizard of ox in the eye of a needle..that's so easy to see through. Meanwhile your local farmer can't even sell his goods at your local super market.

Ye Ole' Guzer.. You must be so proud of yourself. Like what if a child logged on here and started reading all this? Seems you could care less, and welcome all comments just to get yourself a well known 'link' or 'dink.' Yet with all the filthy comments I've read on YouTube.. You are just one more that could care less for anything else. Ever think there might be an innocent kid reading all this junk? I've seen no ban to this end. And even the best elude me, because all kids have to do is click. Best Wishes to you and yours, think I'm gonna' finally gonna' crawl back inside my shell and sleep.

There's not much time left, maybe to know the truth. Yet, some would rather burn that candle BS, AND not ever tell us what they've truly learned, but instead sell us the latest drug, or vice, or device, or .. you know as well as me that there are a bunch of very hungry young adults reading every word of what wealthy men like Charlie tell us, or report..and without a doubt 'they' would believe and not even guess that behind the talent lies the 'marketeers.' And that the people with the 'mouths' are the ones that advance their very own careers by investing what little they earn to learn rather they have become 'popular' or not. Then, just like humpty dumpty eventually their dollar goes bust unless they truly had some talent other than speech.

And doesn't anyone notice that 'the haves' have themselves a feeding frenzy on 'the have nots?' It's an inherited disease. Actually it's not a disease, it's just how small we all are, and how little, really wee care and care not. So enlighten me and tell me this more for humanity than for art's sake. 'Cause art's sake seems to be more for the profit of a few 'chosen' individuals. Like I believe 'this one' is any different than the rest..yet somehow I do believe that he might somehow make a difference. And I did see Charlie recently, and it seems he's fit as a fiddle as he should be. Yet you never know, he might be just 'looking good' for a camera..and he might not even tell his doctor the truth. Can't even imagine the tremendous stress on him or a President. So there you go..little Charlie Gibson is like a Russert..or that man we once respected to tell us the rest of the story. Yet 'The Rest of The Story' seems like something 'they' are not allowed to tell. So 'they' hold their breath.

freidaApr 17, 2009 9:44 PM

-2
And if I weren't read, I wouldn't be erased! So, what of this man and his tiny creature features? I'm still searching for 'the truth' and so far I haven't found out much, except for some 'creative marketing' for a nice exhibit. And I never did say he wasn't handsome and talented and probably more than we know. He might even be 'on the cusp' of some new creation. Just like this.

freidaApr 17, 2009 9:29 PM

Why are 'Html code and links' not allowed? And why do 'you' apologize for this, and call it an inconvenience? Got some new fangled 'language' or somethin'? Or don't have no respect for the past? Just curious, or odd, or meaningless really. Yet, the truth here is yet to be told. And this is so much speculation..'About this man and his tools.' You can build a 2 story magnification device, and yet those 'talk show' hosts on those major networks can't even find a 5 year old.

The art is incredble!! I could never see that small even with a magnifying glass! LOL But to see what he's done with proper magnification, boggles the mind. Hats off!! He deserves the kudos and more. In terms of Freida, who doesn't have the brain power to comprehend that proper names get a Capital first letter, after the first 2 or 3 coments, I just skipped past them and went to the next different respondant. :) If everyone did the same, He/She/It wouldn't even be seen. This amazing man made something of himself, regardless of wether or not he can read and write. At least he chose the road to better himself rather than be like others and wallow in self pity. freida, honey, get on some meds you need them.Your obsessing about this. Just go do something amazing yourself. Maybe this fellow is just brilliant getting 20 million dollars for the collection and will share it with some needy people who need to learn to read and write and he could join them and then become a micro surgeon !! Frieda, I believe the comment about not being able to read or write was in reference to when he started his art at 5 years of age. He had no other way to express himself other than this art. And even if he can't read or write, he obviously knows how to do math!! It's truly amazing!

This is a very good example of how the world has come up with many obstacles in life by misdiagnosing problems by coming up with labels that discourage kids and adults from living up to their full potential. My siblings and I were able to rise above our environment by having a strong home and teachers that said, “Yes You Can”. Despite the fact that I'm from New Orleans and a black male, I have obtained 2 master degrees and work in the Technology Industry as a Software Engineer. I recently watch my child prepare for test after test in the gifted program at his middle school. There’s absolutely no creativity being taught at all. The American school system seem to have lost the creativity fuel that produced, pioneers like Bill Gates and others. I believe that there should be standardized test however the current system of testing produce short term results that affect short term thinking. If our government would fully fund our school system, America would produce perhaps millions of Bill Gates and fewer kids that are just able to past test just to beat their piers to the unemployment lines. My wife is a Mechanical with a degree in Physics. We’re encouraging my son through science and art by creating solar energy products. We’re also making a very good attempt to win the multi-million prize the white house offered to the individual that creates the next big energy source.

i believe it. and if that man can teach himself to micro sculpt , he can probably now learn to read and write. he has the patience to learn. and about his teachers, you have to realize as a black child that many decades ago i'm sure he was traumatized. fortunately, he used his pain for good. it's not as if teachers are that caring to black children now. especially the boys. way to go mr wigan!

What an amazing talent, and what a troubled soul.. he needs someone to help him from getting swindled out of all that money. I hope he enjoys it and he understands money does not bring happiness unless you use it as a tool to do worthwhile things with your life. With that said, way to go! I think we all ove when someone who has had it rough can get a big break, jerks get them every day why not a man like him. My only advice BE SMART.. help people, there s more joy in giving (not to say he should squander on charities) so just find something worthwhile to do in life.. For "Eic": we get it your a school teacher.. nobody is demonizing teachers, regardless of the factual truths yo have mentioned about the influence parents have on a child before, during and after the school system gets a hold of them.. it is possible for a teacher to utterly traumatize a child.. there are millions of experiences about world wide, its not even a debate.. so chilland have a little empathy. I don't wanna think you are one of those teachers and trying to justify that abusive conduct some (and I stress some) have.

A BIG WOW!! Amazing talent! thank you for sharing this, just the abilty to make people smile, and astonish them is worth more then any amount of money! the fact that you cant read or write, shows the world that anything is possible, So maybe it was a godsend, your teachers did what they did, it was perhaps your destiny to be such an artist!!, you should consider private showings in art galleries.. Now that you have sold your lifes work, will you continue? If this is what pleases you, much happiness and success to you!! AWESOME WORK!! there will always be critics in life, we can only take those with envious comments and become better from it!

What an amazing man. How unfortunate that he was made to feel so "small" by a school teacher. His artistic ability is incredible. I also think it's fantastic that someone recognized his special talent and paid him 20 million. Way to go!! I agree with LittleAngel1198 -- it's very rude to make fun of people who are not educated. Freida, what is your problem? Jealous much? This guy has an extreme and rare talent. If a collector (no one said it was the government!) wants to give him $20 mil for it, then so be it.. it's his choice to sell it and the collector's choice to buy it..for whatever price he wants. To sit here and put someone down because they don't have 'education' is just rude.

When we abandon the notion of limitation we expand the potential of the human condition. As an Educational Consultant/Therapist/Coach I have seen the ravages of limitation and the delight of possibilities realized. We are to view this man's ability as a testimony to the greatness of our human condition. Dyslexia, ADD, ADHD, learning disabilities are labels that call for understanding of learning style and untapped potential, not judgments and preconceived notions of limitation.

I hope he gets a chance to learn to read and write. It's something one can do at any age, and anyone *can* learn it, if they want to. With the right teacher. And the right desire. Sounds like he has the patience to do it, and if he can't find the right teacher.. he's just not looking. (speaking as a special educator who works with at-risk youth) He just does not sound like a HAPPY person. I'd like to know if he is happier now that he's made that fortune on the sculptures. Amazing though they are.. it would be much sweeter a story if he actually sounded like he liked them. As it is, it seems an expression of his angst. 'course, he's not here to tell me if this is true or not. :-)

Truly remarkable talent and patience. And a quick comment with regards to teachers: At some point we all must overcome the injuries of our past. All of us have suffered at the hands of an adult in our lives--be it a teacher, a parent or a priest. At some point, as this extraordinary artist demonstrates, we must be responsible for our own lives. We must determine our paths and work to achieve our goals. Teachers are merely educational guides. We, as individuals are responsible for what we learn.

Oh, to prove the theroy on autonomic nerv pikes, ever held a camera with a long zoom ability? see its impossible to hold the shot steady? It is physically impossible to have that steady of hand. It is autonomically impossible. Perhaps polymers and a laser beam guided by digital increments as small as sub micron are capable of producing this. I think this is a very clever scam. This did not reveal a single demonstration of the working being done. Neurology science demonstrates very clearly no one could not adapt to making detailed art at the size of a human cell with hand movements alone.

So, what if I do come to believe? To make this man out to be an idiot 'cause he can't read nor write..and duplicates 'stuff' on a rather, extra-ordinary (today) small scale? Reminds me of a bunch of 'Hero's' and James Brown, and Billy Idol, and most of all Mike Oldfield. Don't ask me why? You might get aka/bored. On a grander scale Charlie sure is big!!

You are so 'write on' Jo..and Dee..equals Jody..equals 'G' 'O' 'D'..why? Can anyone believe that Charlie makes millions of dollars just for reciting 'What' someone else writes while we watch..and that someone (maybe Ringo Starr)..has invested his 'earnings' to promote a man that can't read or write and creates masterpieces only 'cause they are small? I'm baffled, LOL.

Just needed, once again, to say something dumb.."through the 'looking glass'." This is quite a 'thread' and I like 'pulling it' along. Seems there are quite a few here that feel that need, and make a comment. Some are pretty darn brave, and one in particular (quite a word)..has no doubt come a long way and was able to express herself. Charlie knows he's brilliant and quite a good-looking talker..and so is the man with the microscope. LOL

It's really, just so darn hard to believe in anything you see and read about these days. Who cares about Global Warming? We all know gas stinks, and probably, more than likely ain't exactly good to be inhaling all that exhaust. I'm pretty sure, by now, at least that Willard is the real deal..Yeah Right!! I'll still have a hard time believing if I ever see his 'exhibition.' Sure would like to maybe work with him 'in person.' Congratulations to this whizz of a man who ignored his teachers and went on to do a miraculous thing with the tiny pinhead or eye of a needle. I cannot even see the eye any more! My teacher in the 10th grade told me that I would never be a nurse because I couldn't pass her chemistry class. Instead, I became a paralegal and was told I should attend college and become a lawyer. Since I had a stroke before my working life was over, I will never know whether I could have accomplished that or not. I say "bravo" to this gentle man who has the patience of Job!

As an educator, whenever I read an article or view a video about someone who has aspired towards (and reached) some successful venture, I am always interested. I am saddened though, when that same person uses this medium as a venue to blame the teachers in his early life for some unresolved (and very much evident) anger. I teach students with exceptional learning needs and to my utmost to reach children that have diverse learning needs. That being said, there are those times that despite my very best effort I do not meet with success; nor does the student. It is a sad fact the schools do not acknowledge all of the major intelligences ; there are many more than (of course) just the three that we teach and assess. In a perfect world, we would not be so rigidly mandated by provincially formulated curriculum. Taking one step back though, it is "Joe Public" that insisted that teachers should be told exactly what to teach as it appears that we seem to lack some collective intuitive conscience when it comes to teaching. It makes me feel undervalued to read so many negative comments from so many people. If you truly knew the pain that teachers feel when they are unable to help a child who is struggling in the school environment, you would understand how hurtful these despairing comments are. Teachers have to have thick skins these days and it is our love of children that keep us strong and focussed on doing the best job with so little public respect. This is an adult man who is still blaming his teachers for his current difficulties with literacy. Perhaps someone should inform him that learning is a pursuit that lasts a lifetime and does not end when one leaves school. The desire to succeed and conquer a goal is 90% intrinsic motivation. This man "dropped the reins" a long time ago. Shame on him for blaming teachers.

I agree, his work is amazing, but lay off the teachers. You don't know what he was like as a student or what his parents are like. There are some kids that you can do absolutely nothing with despite all your best interests and efforts. If there was no parental contribution the teacher's job is twice as hard. He may have just thought the teachers made him feel small..maybe that is how he perseved it for himself. Lord..teachers bend over backward to get good help for kids. But if the parent denies there is a problem (which is the majority of the cases) and you get no support at home AND a child is unwilling to learn or apply themself..how is that a teacher's fault? No one knows the story there so don't make accusations. Hey..if you're reading THIS thank a teacher!!

I just can't leave this 'alone.' What was 'that line' from "Rainman?" "What kind of Prescription Medications are you taking," or something like that. Seems to me this really doesn't matter anymore..I mean, either it's true or it isn't..rather we 'believe in it or not.' Merry Christmas!

"Nick"..give a dog a gone, What? You journalists aren't that bad, I guess..it's just your darn greedy bosses and those CEOs that make me what to hurl. Charlie, sure is a big guy..wonder what he's done in his life other than getting in front of a camera everyday and talking..yet, never really able to tell us what's in his gut other than earning a paycheck? Seems he has a Rather hard job..and just like Rather, that will eventually inflate his head to the point it might explode. Wonder if he has a wife or children to feed..wonder if he lives in a mansion and doesn't give to charity..unless of course it's a much needed tax write-off, of course.. Then of course what about old St. Nick? What? Who? Then just look at that wonderful Bank of America, hiring immigrants, and all that 3pt. legal cripe..just to give someone a credit card..and tell them we'll give you no interest..until next year..then bend over 'cause we're gonna screw you for all you are worth and more.. And never mind all that stuff on the 'inside page' written for lawyers..you really don't want to know. Meanwhile your government, will take your taxes gladly, and give that money to us, too. And what Mexico..hey those banks have loved them up to the point like we don't speak English on the telephone anymore..Spanish first, right? And, the worst part about it is that woman in Kenya and Iraq, and Iran, and Afghanistan can't take their robes off, and speak like a man can.

Just another 'note' reminds me of a Starr..and "It Don't Come Easy"..and when it does look out for a bunch of awful aftermath.. "It's a Wonderful World".."It's A Small World".. And we're really living in "The Land Of Oz"..on a tiny blue dot..and global warming has nothing to do with protecting it..what matters is, if you do..take care and May someone bless you and this tiny little thing called live..and those darn monstrous things, too..those that believe in some aftermath.. Pretty and pleasing to think that some are 'special' when the truth is that if it were not for you..no matter how small and insignificant you think you may be..you really meant more than you knew.. “meanwhile back in the jungle” Seems we really don’t know how to care, or something. We’d rather think than do… I’m first up to bat here, proclaiming that. Seems Nancy and Katie put their real life love ‘on hold’ while they persued (sp?) Meanwhile, seems ‘The Media’ would really like Palin to slouch…and guess we won’t be happy ’til she ‘looks and sounds like a man.’ Someday, maybe we’ll have a queen of this land, that believes that life really is worth living….while she will work just as hard as ‘the man’ she won’ t have ‘That Muscle’ that makes him a man. Just an out instead of an automatic ‘in.’ That creates a thousand or more, and millions of unwanted babies in their pursuit…for pumping that insatiable urge, to procreate, yet…they are just a bunch of bed wetting, little boys. Sure seems to me like Katie Couric (sp?) and what’s that beautiful blonde ambition named…oh, yeah…Nancy Grace…. Well, anyway they put their life on hold all for a ‘money’ a career that will net them what? A leg up for their kids but what else? Anything that matters?

This artist deserves his own museum - He's the biggest thing since Salvador Dali. Remember Freida (Fried eh?) and all you others calling out this guy's money for his art.. Charlie Gibson and all the anchors on TV get $30 to $50 Million a year! and that works out to $310,00.00 per hour when divided by the half hours he's on the air for that 5 days a week. Ditto for U.K. Presenters. AND We have to sit and watch these elitist people telling us about recession and hard times and how expensive things are !! Talk about the tail wagging the dog.

In Katmandu, Nepal I have seen a display of grain size art made by an Armenian artist who made the smallest art of celebrities like Charles Chaplin, Marilyn Monroe , Charles De Gaul,Hitler , Churchill and others. Largest of all the work was the size of a rice.He had few students, one that companied him was African from England.

I'm so easily led astray..that's why I'm not so sure of this man's so-called gift. And, Charlie was pretty hard on Palin, and that's a good thing..to know she'd stick to her 'guns' so to speak. Meanwhile, I kinda think the money this guy 'earned' is goin' or 'coming' to the USofA. Probably costs a lot of money to protect those precious, tiny, little works of art. And, to keep those 'glass slides' spotless.

That 'comment' wasn't mine, obviously! I'm lower case 'f' and the 'e' comes first. And I've tried to keep this more in tune with the 'story line' and at least give a little credit where it's due. Not that I'm always so, good..but meth is no good, and tv might have some redeeming quality..it's just all that advertising they use..and a little of that goes a long, long way. This really is about that guy with a microscope, isn't it?

I think this is an amazing story one question though. After all this time why not learn to read. My uncle taught a man who was over 80 to read and he went on to read. And here we're talkin' about millions for microns, or less..and everyone's proclaiming it's about 'goodness' or 'the ultimate blessing'..and in another hundred years, our children will look back at this and laugh. This really is not 'realistic'..in any aspect..to give a guy a bunch of money for 'art' when it could be better used for 'education'..for instance 'preaching' birth control..and 'The Cause and Effect' of all of those methods of Birth Control..and teaching that man, although he is not first..he is not 'last.' The term is 'Investigative Reporter' that seems less and less these days..considering 'The Web' and 'The Grapevine'..and 'Gossip'..and pretty faces, that get paid to sit in front of a camera 'and talk'..'and tell' the story of the hard work, and the leg work of 'the underling' you know..that person that goes out there and really digs in the soil. I really don't like to be wrong, but who does? So, until I understand how this 'is possible,' I still believe it's a bunch of bunk..just more 'Hype' for ABC..and those extra-special 'news correspondents' called other words, too..like 'writers' and 'producers,'..and I especially like this one..darn I forgot the word..guess it wasn't as important as 'reporter.'

And I thought I could stop. Guess I really could, if I wanted to. "It's A Small World" doesn't seem to include 'Alice'..it's another 'production. And, 'this' (I guess) is microscopic, or hopefully 'Reality' or 'Honest to Goodness' truth. It's just that Charlie was so hard on Palin, and so easy on Obama, I guess. Not really. And that's exactly 'the point' and so far I'm still skeptical about these tiny creatures that live in that 'eye of that needle.'

Only God knows the gifts we each possess..when put to the test we can astonish the world like this gifted artist..doing what others deem impossible because they are the ones with limited scope and imagination..and they lack the ability to manifest there own seemingly impossible dreams..Bravo to you!! Teaching is a 'Nobel' Profession. Few, if any, people on the face of this earth are self-made, and learn how to do things all by themselves. Let me be the first to wish Charlie and Nick (reminds me of a Saint this time of year), and this obviously, very patient black man (I'm observant, at least)..and the rest that come here and read this 'thread' sent to me by someone very special in my life..a very merry Christmas, and hopefully a happier new year with less expensive gas, and less war, and starvation, and strife.

I still wonder why I haven't seen this on the news? Seems to be 'A REALLY BIG' story. Sure would be nice instead of listening to how bad everything is, for instance, the economy, bailouts, corrupt politicians, crime and punishment. Still wonder where all of that gas money went. Supply and demand just really doesn't explain it.

Jim Nabors had the beautiful voice. Funny the things you can find on this internet..like what 'GOMER' really means. We are all different, but really the same..all Pink on the inside, I think. This 'thread' is sure getting stronger, I hope. Although in the beginning I was skeptical.

every thing happens for a reason, maybe if the teachers would have taught him to read, he might never had turned to art for his escape from feeling so small. so maybe indirectly the teachers were actually responsible for his talent. that's my oppinion. i'm sticking to it. it's still a great talent. and you really don't have to be educated to make it big. look at Gomer Pyle.

While I'm at it, you really can't blame teachers..they've got darn near an impossible job. We expect them to take care of every one of their students, which turn-over (reminds me of IRA's except they turn-over every year, automatically)..then some expect them to 'love' each and everyone of those 'little monsters' just like they are one of their own, then what do they get when they do..some furious parent that more than likely is tired and having a bad day..and goes home thinking that 'the teacher' was the bad guy..while they spent their day at some other work..really, though..teachers don't much get the respect they deserve..some of them are in the wrong line of work..but most of them try, the best they can I think..just like those parents that have to go out and work and don't have time to teach their very own children. Well some of them never learned how. How means 'howdy.'

Very wonderful way to show that, even when those in the world criticize us, we can use what God has given us to do the best we can with that talent. He stayed true to who he knew he was, and was blessed. Best spent money in the world; better than that amount of money going to a sport figure, etc. God bless him always. My 7 yr old granddaughter is laughed at in school because she has dyslexia and ADD. Kids call her stupid, but she is a genius in other areas such as loving others and art work, etc. Hopefully, she will apply her talents as this gentleman has.

I still say that 'This Story' is incomplete..without fact and substance. Like how did this 'dude' learn how to use the microscope, and who paid the millions of bucks? I never said I wasn't jealous.

This man is amazing..I am so impressed..As with me, his teachers did not do their job and try harder to teach..In my case I was not from a "favored" family in a small town, therefore teachers would think I'm not worth any extra effort. After a lifetime of struggle, earning an education through hard work..I too have become accomplished in my life..Congrats to the man in this story for believing in himself..he deserves our praise..but please remember..there are hundreds of thousands of people with learning disabilities..I wish we cared for them as much as the accomplished man in this story..accomplishment shouldnt be a requirement for caring..

the AP would have been all over this, if it was real, or news, right? Darn it though, I really want to believe, I just want proof, and backup.. and a few good men and women, too. Of course, we now have a new family in that great big castle called the white house, and seems now they call it the 'peoples' house'..an appropriate title, yet lacking in substance..a great big house, with a great big budget, with lots of servants, and those that live within call themselves the same word. Just takes a whole lotta education to be able to forgive them, I guess..or just pure and simple faith that doesn't cost a cent..meanwhile back in the jungle. Wonder what these guys know about math..the one reporting this story and the one that is the story..while it seems to me, they are just men and the rest of us are mothers. How much of what they take, is donated to charity, and how much that is donated to charity, is just TAKEN AWAY..AND STUFFED INSIDE A POCKET INSTEAD OF GIVEN AWAY.. Reminds me of Al Gore. Didn't he invent the internet? And, we all know he's a scientist, right? All I can say, is that he was pre-posed to be the bully, once upon a time..what was the reason behind that?..Kinda like this 'Needle Art' like, what are we supposed to believe? LOL Just a bunch of nonsense really, whatever makes you happy.. The pursuit of happiness is all we were promised, right? Meanwhile Katy and Palin are, really cute..that's a fact.

This goes to show you that people that belittle others look back and can kick themselves. This man was belittled as a child and now he can say that he has more money than those who picked on him as a kid. People may not be better than someone at one point in time but they will conquer all in the long run. Perfectly amazing!!

A very talented man but not the first. My father's photo engraver, using a large headed pin, successfully engraved the Lord's Prayer upon its surface. It should be noted that he did not have the advantage of motorized or electronic devices to help him and used only a magnifying glass and a hand engraving tool. This was done in the early 1930's and I understand that he was not the first person to do this.

What a poignant story and an amazing talent. The beauty that can come of pain is very inspirational, though some have accomplished great things because they had an ideal childhood(like Bill Gates). I hope all of his teachers and anyone else who made him feel small and insignificant sees what he has become despite the obstacles they placed before him. He deserves every penny that he was offered by the art collector. A lot of people on here ONLY mentioned God as the one who provided this gift to the world. But I think things are evened out by the fact that God didn't spare him the pain he suffered throughout his life before the art. So Mr. Wiggan can spend his money any way he wants--he's the one who suffered for it. Funny how 'God' only seems to show up for His Praise AFTER we've struggled to make something of our lives. Where was he when this man was a frightened and abused boy? Yeah, silence on that one, right? Good for you, sir, you've finally found some justice in life, all on your own terms.

He proves a point that others have written about and I totally agree with: that true intelligence can never be measured by a school 'test.' Whatever this artist decides to do with his God given talent will inspire others to pursue their dreams. Whether he decides to go smaller or bigger with his art, he has proven that genius is within ourselves and up to ourselves to bring it forth.
