But when they are devided down to one houndred then its really easy to relate to it as if it was Your school or working place or nabour hood or something like that. Good video, it is very motivating and eye opening. It seems that we forget how lucky we are to have what we have sometimes.

the music is scary

i dont think this movie is suggesting that we give up everything we have to go help people. Thats just a very impractical and idealistic way of thinking. I think the purpose of this little clip was to make us realize how awesome most of OUR lives are(im assuming anyone reading this is rich enough to fall into that category). So next time you find yourself whining and complaining about the meaningless nonsense that is stressing you out, remember that there are some people on the planet that have REAL problems.

Just so you all know, that wasn't me. Some other idiot posing as me said that. But my doppelganger has a point; there is a lot of suffering in Africa. And other places in the world. It's hard to bring that in reality, those of us who do not suffer, but if we were to actually see them in real life for ourselves..who knows. If you want to help these people, then look it up. There are plenty of welfare programs trying to do something about this.

sithy, pressurelock, and warriordewd2..I am ashamed of you all. The fact that you all said what you just said, shows clearly that you missed the entire point of the animation altogether. It also shows that you DO take everything you have been given for granted on a daily basis. It NEVER said once that we are bad people for having what we have.

It's not asking you to forsake what you have been given and suffer. It's asking you to actually do something about it. Oh, heaven forbid that we help those who need it. I’m sure you couldn’t possibly strain yourself so as to actually get off the couch and actually do something about it.

Think about it. What WOULD it be like to live without food, shelter, a place to call home? What would it be like to live in a place where you could be killed at any minute, due to violence in your country. You are all so naïve, if you can look at these statistics, and take them so lightly.

I, for one, am glad that someone finally decided to make use of the resources they have been given, so as to put them to a good use. Those are not just pretty numbers, my poor, stupid, ungrateful idiots who have the nerve to defend themselves over being given a guilt trip about how needy this world is, and how little we are doing to meet that need. Those are real people, who really need help.

Have you ever seen one of those third world countries, where there is nothing but starvation, disease, war, suffering, and death? No? Didn’t think so. I dare you to just look at those that are suffering, just look at them, and try to justify your slothfulness, you who would gladly accept that witch has been given to you, yet you refuse to give to others who need it far more than you ever will.

Look at the numbers. They are disgusting, they should not exist. We HAVE the power AND the means to put an end to the worlds suffering, but we don’t. Why? Good question. Problem is, the people who should be helping the needy haven’t found an answer yet!

As for you warriordewd2, I don’t know what country you live in. It must be fantasy land, it couldn’t possibly be reality. I KNOW you couldn’t possibly be talking about the USA or the U.K. I assure you, there are MILLIONS in those countries alone who do not have a job, or a home, or even a place to sleep. Oh yes, they suffer, just like everyone else in the world. The sad thing is, no one can be bothered to do anything about it.

You aren’t a bad person for HAVING things like a place to sleep, food, and a place to call home… …but you are a bad person, if you refuse to help those that don’t.

all i can say is this. if im a bad person for living in america and having a bed to sleep in,and(my grandpa fought in WW2 and didint die as a matter of fact hes quite healthy)having food to eat,too bad.im not gonna stop eating food and die a slow and painful death from starvation and cold because i have a bed to sleep in.IF im richer then 80% of the worlds population too bad becuase everyone in my country has a bed and house and job.So sad too bad.

Its obvious the people who made this are making a statement about how lucky we are; and presumably how ungrateful we are that we need to be told we are lucky.. I for one, find it ironic that they made a flash animation, proving that they find using the computers that 'only 8 of us would have' to make a video while they could be hugging trees or trying to cure aids, f**king hippies.

i don't think it is a matter of feeling fortunate, blessed, or indifferent. although those ARE issues on a personal level. i think it is an issue of each person doing what they can, with what they have, in whatever situation confronts them today, and for every today. noone can change an entire population from poor to rich, we can't even do that to our own neighborhoods. what we can do is to our best ability, improve those things that are within our grasp.

I love it!! This video really makes you take to heart the old phrase, "Nothing in this life is certain". However, IMHO, being "lucky" does not play a roll in life. Being blessed does. And for that reason, anyone who was able to watch, read, and understand the video, should be very thankful to the creator above!

wow.. I am working on my second degree, where does that put me? am I supposed to give everything away now and live in poverty just because I have done something with my life? There are many opportunities in this world people do not take advantage of ether because they are too lazy or they feel certain work is beneath them. For those, i have no sympathy. for the ones who really do have no choice, I do feel sorry for and i do my part to help.

It has nothing to do with luck. Why should you feel guilty for the way you live? Is it luck that put the roof over your head and the food in your fridge? Or did you or your family or your ancestors not break their backs or sacrifice their lives for your lifestyle? Maybe reading isn't the biggest priority for folks living in the jungles of South America. Who says their life is so bad?

just think about what you could do to help them i would if i could but my paretns won't let me=( i feel sorry for those people that get totured and beet into the floor and sleep outside that is just sicking
